Wilderness Lodge Studio Review and Guide

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is one of our family’s favorite places to stay when we go to Disney World. It has something for everyone – from quiet pools and boat rides to restaurants and a waterfront bar!

The lodge is also located close enough to the parks that you can easily walk or take a boat there. We always have a great time when we stay at the wilderness lodge!

Wilderness Lodge Resort Overview

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is a beautifully rustic hotel that will make you feel like you’re in the middle of a national park.

The main lodge is reminiscent of Yellowstone’s Old Faithful Inn, and is surrounded by pine forests, geysers, and streams. There are also plenty of activities to keep you busy, from horseback riding and hiking to fishing and canoeing.

And in the evening, you can relax in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine in hand. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a family adventure, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is a perfect choice.

-Location: The resort is located in the Magic Kingdom area of Disney World, near Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

-Transportation: Guests can take a boat from the lodge to Magic Kingdom Park or take a bus from the lodge to any of the other Disney World theme parks.

-Lodging: The lodge has over 700 rooms, including suites and villas.

-Dining: There are several restaurants at the lodge, including Artist Point (fine dining), Whispering Canyon Cafe (family style), and Roaring Fork (quick service).

Villas at Wilderness Lodge

The villas at Wilderness Lodge are the perfect option for families or groups traveling together.

There are studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom villas available, and all of them come with a kitchen, washer/dryer, and balcony.

The three-bedroom villas also have a dining room and living room.

If you’re looking for a home away from home while staying at Disney World, the Villas at Wilderness Lodge are a great option.

Wilderness Lodge Pools

There are two main pools at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort – the Copper Creek Springs Pool and the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool.

The Copper Creek Springs Pool is the larger of the two and has a waterslide, hot tub, and zero-entry pool.

The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is a bit smaller and quieter, and has a hot tub and zero-entry pool.

Both pools are open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Does The Wilderness Lodge Have Studio Villas

Yes, the Wilderness Lodge has studio villas available.

The studio villas have a kitchenette, bed, sofa, and balcony.

If you’re looking for a home away from home while staying at Disney World, the studio villas at Wilderness Lodge are a great option.

How much do Disney villas cost?

The cost of Disney villas varies depending on the size of the villa and the time of year you’re visiting.

Studio villas start at $269 per night, while three-bedroom villas can cost up to $2,029 per night.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Location

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of the wilderness, just minutes from the Magic Kingdom Park.

The lodge is inspired by the artwork of Daniel Boone and features a variety of amenities, including a pool with a waterslide, restaurants, shops, and a full-service spa.

The lodge also has its own private beach on Bay Lake, where guests can enjoy kayaking, fishing, and other water activities. In addition to its Prime Location near the Magic Kingdom, the Wilderness Lodge also offers guests a truly unique experience.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a AAA Four-Diamond Award-winning resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. The lodge is situated on Bay Lake, and its architecture is inspired by the national parks of the American West, with towering lodgepole pines and soaring eagles.

The lodge offers studio rooms with views of either the courtyard or the woods. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a private balcony.

Guests can also enjoy the use of the resort’s pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the perfect place to stay.

Does Wilderness Lodge Studio Sleep 5?

Yes, the Wilderness Lodge studio rooms do sleep 5.

The studios at Wilderness Lodge can accommodate up to 5 guests, with a queen-size bed, a twin pull-down, and a queen-size sleeper sofa.

For families or groups traveling together, we recommend booking one of the bigger villas at Wilderness Lodge, which can accommodate up to 12 guests.

Wilderness Lodge Kitchen

The kitchenettes in the Wilderness Lodge studio rooms come with a sink, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave.

If you’re looking for something more than a kitchenette, we recommend booking one of the villas at Wilderness Lodge.

The villas have full kitchens, including a stove, oven, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator.

Wilderness Lodge Living Area

The living areas in the Wilderness Lodge studio rooms come with a queen-size sleeper sofa, coffee table, and TV.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax after a long day at the parks.

Wilderness Lodge Studio Balcony

All of the studio rooms at Wilderness Lodge have balconies.

The balconies come with chairs and a table and offer views of either the courtyard or the woods.

The balconies are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Wilderness Lodge In-Room WiFi

Yes, WiFi is available in all rooms at Wilderness Lodge.

In-room WiFi is complimentary for all guests staying at the lodge.

To connect to the WiFi, simply open your web browser and select the “Disney” network. Once you’ve connected, you’ll be able to agree to terms so that you can browse the internet and access your email.

It is very reliable internet that will suffice with all your needs.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Parking

Guests who are staying at Wilderness Lodge can enjoy self-parking for $25 per night. There is also valet parking available for $33 per night.

Transportation To Parks From Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

If you’re staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, you’ll have several options for transportation to the parks. Most visitors will take advantage of the complimentary bus service, which runs regularly throughout the day. You can also take a boat ride to Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

If you’d like to explore on your own, you can rent a car or use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. No matter how you get there, spending a day at one of the parks is sure to be a magical experience!

Disney Bus Transportation to the Theme Parks From Wilderness Lodge

The complimentary bus service at Wilderness Lodge will take you to all 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The buses run every 20 minutes throughout the day, with more frequent service during peak hours.

You can wait for the bus at any of the bus stops located around the lodge.

Buses begin running an hour before the parks open and continue running for an hour after the parks close.

Wilderness Lodge Boat Transportation to Theme Parks

If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom, you can also take a boat ride from Wilderness Lodge. The boat ride is complimentary for all guests staying at the lodge and takes about 10 minutes.

You can catch the boat from the dock near Copper Creek Springs Pool.

The boats run every 20 minutes throughout the day, with more frequent service during peak hours.

Walking to Disney Theme Parks From Wilderness Lodge

If you’re staying at Wilderness Lodge, you can walk to Magic Kingdom Park in about 15 minutes.

To get there, simply exit the lodge and follow the path to the right of Copper Creek Springs Pool.

The walkway will take you right to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.

You can also walk to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in about 10 minutes.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Dining

There are several dining options available at Wilderness Lodge, including quick service, table service, and room service.

Table service restaurants include Artist Point, a buffet restaurant that offers American cuisine with a Northwest twist, and Citricos, an upscale restaurant serving Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

Quick service dining options include Roaring Fork, which offers American cuisine, and Territory Lounge, which offers light snacks and cocktails.

Room service is available 24 hours a day for guests staying at the lodge.

Artist Point is one of the most popular restaurants at Wilderness Lodge, so be sure to make a reservation if you’re interested in dining there. The food there is truly amazing!

Citricos is another great option for a sit-down meal, offering a delicious array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The atmosphere is slightly more upscale than Artist Point, but both restaurants are definitely worth checking out.

Roaring Fork is a great quick service option, offering American cuisines such as burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more.

If you’re looking for a light snack or a place to relax with a cocktail, Territory Lounge is the perfect spot.

Has Wilderness Lodge Been Renovated?

Yes, in fact, renovations just finished in 2021. They started in 2019 to add more dining and shopping options as well as to update the rooms and common areas.

The biggest change is the new lobby, which is now twice the size it was before and features a beautiful 6-story atrium with a view of Bay Lake.

Other changes include the addition of Geyser Point Bar & Grill, an outdoor quick-service eatery, and Roaring Fork Snacks, a quick-service spot offering light bites and coffee.

In the rooms, you’ll find new furniture, carpeting, and bedding.

The bathrooms have also been updated with new vanities and showers.

Overall, the renovations have made Wilderness Lodge even more beautiful and welcoming than it was before!

What I Love About Disney’s Wilderness Studio Villa

I absolutely love staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! The lodge is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the amenities are top-notch.

I also love the location of Wilderness Lodge. It’s just a short walk from Magic Kingdom Park and a quick boat ride away from Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The lodge is also home to some great restaurants, including Artist Point and Citricos.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and scenic place to stay at Walt Disney World, I highly recommend Wilderness Lodge!

Tips for Staying at Disney’s Wilderness Studio Villa

Here are a few tips for staying at Disney’s Wilderness Studio Villa:

1. Make sure to pack your swimsuit! The villa has its own private pool, hot tub, and sauna.

2. Take advantage of the free transportation that’s available to guests staying at Wilderness Lodge. You can take the boat to Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

3. Be sure to make a reservation at one of the lodge’s restaurants, such as Artist Point or Citricos.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite resorts. It has a rustic feel, with beautiful woodwork and stone fireplaces. The views from the lodge are stunning, overlooking Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.
