Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is a place where fairy tales come to life. There are four themed lands in the park: Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, and Main Street, USA. Each land has its own attractions, shops, and restaurants. One of the most well-themed spots in the park is Rapunzel Tower in Fantasyland.
This tower is based on the fairy tale Rapunzel and the movie Tangled. If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, make sure to add Rapunzel’s Tower to your list of must-see attractions!
Magic Kingdom Map Overview
The Magic Kingdom is one of the most iconic theme parks in the world. Its layout is just as iconic as its attractions.
The park is divided into six distinct “lands”: Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.
Main Street USA is the first land guests see when they enter the park. It is home to classic attractions like Cinderella Castle and Town Square.
Adventureland is home to Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise. Frontierland features rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain.
Liberty Square is home to Haunted Mansion and the Hall of Presidents. Fantasyland is home to classics like It’s a Small World and Peter Pan’s Flight.
Lastly, Tomorrowland is home to futuristic attractions like Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
Our post’s muse, Rapunzel’s Tower, is located in Fantasyland on the way to Liberty Square.
Where is Rapunzel’s Tower in Magic Kingdom Located?
Sitting atop a rock wall and waterfall, Rapunzel’s tower is located between Liberty Square and Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom.
Once you get past the castle and are standing in front of the carousel, head left towards it’s a Small World.
With it’s a Small World on your right, Rapunzel’s Tower is up ahead.
Rapunzel’s Tower and Village Magic Kingdom
An area has been created to seem like the village of Corona from Tangled, just on the other side of Rapunzel’s Tower. Disney Imagineers included references to the animated film in it.
Frying Pan and Flynn Riders Satchel
If you look closely just above the entrance to the men’s restrooms, you’ll spot two Easter Eggs from Disney’s Tangled.
In Rapunzel’s story, the frying pan was her weapon of choice. And who could forget Flynn Rider’s satchel that once held her crown?
Floating Lanterns
Returning to the Tangled scene, when Rapunzel releases lanterns into the sky, guests can see lanterns all over the area at Rapunzel’s Tower.
All the lanterns in the sky are meant to represent the ones let go by Rapunzel in the movie.
Friends of Pascal
If you have little children who might get bored while riding the rides and attractions, you’ll find many of Pascal’s friends concealed among the scenery surrounding Rapunzel’s tower and village. You’ll have to look hard to discover them, but they’re well worth it!
Who is Pascal?
Pascal is Rapunzel’s faithful chameleon friend in the Disney movie Tangled.
He is always by Rapunzel’s side, whether she’s exploring her tower or adventuring outside for the first time.
Pascal has a mischievous personality and loves to play practical jokes with his friends. However, he is fiercely loyal to Rapunzel and would do anything to protect her.
Pascal is a key figure in helping Rapunzel escape from her tower, and he remains by her side through thick and thin.
Thanks to Pascal, Rapunzel is able to discover the joys of life outside her tower and ultimately find her true identity.
Without Pascal, Rapunzel would have remained imprisoned in her tower forever.
Rapunzel Tower & Village of Corona from Tangled
One of the most iconic structures in Disney’s Tangled is the tower where Rapunzel is locked away by Mother Gothel.
The tower is situated in the middle of a vast forest, and its tall, imposing design is meant to keep Rapunzel hidden from the outside world.
However, the tower also has a hidden side only Rapunzel knows about. At the top of the tower, there is a secret room where Rapunzel can let her hair down and sing to her heart’s content.
This room is full of sunlight and life, in stark contrast to the dark and dusty bottom half of the tower. It’s clear that Rapunzel’s time in the tower has had a major impact on her personality, but it’s also clear that she has managed to find some joy in her situation.
Despite being locked away, she has found a way to make her own happiness.

She loves to sing and dance, and she’s always game for a game of tag or hide-and-seek.
She’s also full of stories about her adventures in the kingdom, and she’s always happy to share them with anyone who’s interested.
Rapunzel appears in the Festival of Fantasy parade, popularizing Tangled even more with her attendance alongside Flynn Rider and other well-loved characters!
