Getting groceries is one of the best tips I can give to anyone regarding any trip or vacation, but especially a Disney one. Disney World grocery delivery is so important that I’d like to tell you a personal story (feel free to skip this next paragraph).
I went to Disney very last minute one year for New Year’s. I also let someone else plan this vacation because I was accompanying them.
Long story short. We didn’t get groceries and didn’t have a car. In the three days I spent at Disney World with my significant other, I spent over $1,000 on food. Want to know what I usually spend on food for two on a seven-day Disney World vacation with groceries? $710
Use my terrible mistake as a lesson learned for yourself. Disney World grocery delivery is a must.
There are multiple ways to set up Disney World grocery delivery. Let’s discuss them all and some possible grocery lists that your family can use.
Grocery Delivery to Disney World
You’ve discovered various convenient ways to get groceries delivered to your hotel room when visiting Disney World.
It will save you so much time and hassle! Simply place an order online with a grocery delivery service of your choice, and they deliver everything right to your hotel.
Having snacks and breakfast items readily available in your room will save you money on dining out. I highly recommend utilizing a grocery delivery service for anyone planning a trip to Disney World.
Disney World Grocery Delivery Services
Instacart
Instacart is an online grocery delivery service that allows customers to order groceries from their favorite local stores and have them delivered to their doorstep.
With Instacart, customers can choose from various options, including fresh produce, snacks, and other household items. The service is a great way to save time and money, as it eliminates the need to go to the grocery store and transport items back home.
Instacart is a convenient and cost-effective solution for anyone looking to simplify their grocery shopping experience.
With Instacart, you can easily place an order online and have your groceries delivered right to your hotel doorstep. Not only does this save you the hassle of finding a grocery store and transporting your items back to the hotel, but it also allows you to choose from a variety of options, including fresh produce and snacks.
I prefer Instacart over any service because it’s a personal shopper. This means that you can chat with your shopper as they shop and make sure you end up with exactly what you want.
- Go to instantcart.com or download the app
- Create an account and enter your address
- Pick the store you want delivery for
- Add items to your cart
- Pick a delivery time

Walmart Groceries
Walmart Grocery Services is a convenient online grocery shopping platform offered by Walmart, one of the largest retailers in the world.
It allows customers to shop for groceries online and have them delivered to their doorstep or pick them up at a nearby Walmart store.
Walmart Grocery Services is nice because not only is it convenient but it offers a cost-effective solution for Disney World grocery delivery.
- Download the Walmart app or visit www.grocery.walmart.com.
- Enter the address of your hotel and select a delivery time. (we have always had luck getting same day delivery)
- Add your items to your cart and choose substitution preferences
- Check out
Amazon Prime
For this method, you need Amazon Prime. If you have it already, great. If you don’t, you can use this link to get 30 days of Amazon Prime for free and make sure those 30 days cover your Disney trip.
Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial.
Personally, I do have Amazon Prime and think it is worth the yearly cost. Budget tip: you can add a few credit cards and addresses to the Amazon account to technically share it. I split the cost with a friend.
Amazon Prime Pantry is one of my favorite ways to get my groceries to Disney World. You can find every non-perishable item on Amazon and have it shipped to your resort.
Amazon Prime Pantry offers items that would go in your pantry, I know that’s probably obvious, so no milk or cheese here.
Here’s how it works: Every prime pantry box is up to 45 lbs of items. You can fill it with as many or as few items as possible.
Common Amazon Pantry Items
- Bottled water
- Other drinks like soda and juice
- Snacks
- Granola bars
- Nuts
- Cookies
- Donuts
- Trail mix
- Noodles, mac n cheese
- Pancake mix
- Cereal
- Household and pet items
When to order: A week before your arrival date. Amazon Pantry might quote you a 2-3 shipping period, but don’t rely on it. I’ve learned this the hard way. If you’re ordering more than 10lbs worth of groceries, they will change the shipping method to UPS Ground which can take up to a week.
Garden Grocer
Please note the Garden Grocer is unable to deliver to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin
Garden Grocer is a website where you have over 5,000 grocery items to choose from that are then delivered to your Disney Resort. When you are placing the order you also select a delivery date and time period. There is a $40 minimum and $14 delivery fee.
Garden Grocer only delivers to Disney Resort and you don’t have to be there as the food goes to the resort’s front desk first.
They also offer the delivery of beer and alcohol
When to order: At least 15 days before to receive a small discount.
Other Ways to get Disney World grocery delivery
Uber
If you’ve been around my site before then you know that I’m a huge fan of using Uber at Disney World.
But last October I became an even bigger fan. I want to Disney World for Halloween and didn’t do a good job looking at the weather before I left. It was pretty cool in Orlando, like the high 60s, and I had all hot weather clothing.
Any sweaters and pants I could buy at the Disney World Resort would be expensive, and there were 4 of us. So we Ubered to the Walmart a few miles away from Disney World and got a few things for four people and spent less than $100. Including things we didn’t need, like a bottle of wine.
I mention the closest grocery store to Disney World, and now you know you can Uber there and just about anywhere else you need to go.
Convenience Store
There are two gas stations with convenience stores at Disney World. One is near Disney Springs the other is near the Boardwalk Resort.
Similar to a 711 or a Wawa, there are a few things you can get here like frozen pizza, milk, etc. They also sell beer and wine.
Obviously, you’ll pay a little more for groceries here, but the convenience of the location might be worth it for you.
I once stayed off-site at the Ramada and walked to the 711 store across the street for some water and beer. I didn’t have to pay for an Uber so I was ok with the slightly inflated prices.
Disney Resort Stores
Disney Resorts has a guest shop, and some offsite hotels do. At Disney, you can always find a few essentials at the stop, like milk, bread, etc.
Fun tip: The DVC resorts or deluxe villa resorts have way more grocery options because those rooms come with full kitchens. Determine which Disney deluxe villa resort you are closest to if your store doesn’t have what you need. With a little work, you can get there for free on a Disney bus (will probably take at least an hour round trip).
Checked Luggage
Since checked baggage doesn’t have liquid limits, you can pretty much pack what you want. I wouldn’t bring anything that needs refrigeration, but fresh fruit and packaged items are definitely a go.
Walmart Grocery Pick-Up
There are a lot of stores that now offer the option to order your groceries online and pick them up in-store.
When Walmart started doing this in 2017, everyone was happy because their prices were so great. When you place your order online, you pick a date and time period for it to be ready. Then you had to go to Walmart to the pickup location, and they brought all the bags out to you.
I do this at home because I’m not a fan of shopping (at all), and when I order online, I can find the best deals.
This option is easiest when you have your own car, but you can use Uber to do this, too.

Closest Grocery Store to Disney World
Disney consists of over 30,000 acres so the closest grocery store to someone staying at Saratoga Springs is not the closest grocery store to someone staying at Fort Wilderness Lodge.
My suggestion is to download the Google Maps app if you don’t already have it. I am a huge iPhone fan and own one, but Google Maps is better than regular Maps. Once you download the app type in Publix to find the closest one to you.

Disney World Grocery List
When you’re buying groceries for your Disney Vacation, the trick is to keep it simple. You can’t get everyone’s favorite juice or cereal because then you’ll end up overbuying and wasting a lot of food.
- Water – an essential
- Breakfast – Disney World vacationers are usually too excited and busy for a sit-down breakfast every day. Pick a breakfast that works for everyone
- Bagels and cream cheese (my go-to)
- Cereal with milk
- Microwaveable oatmeal
- Muffins
- Microwaveable bacon with a croissant
- Fruit and cheese
- Snacks – you need snacks to take with you to the parks, bring to the pool, and eat in the room. Here again, you want to pick two to three snacks everyone in the family can enjoy.
- Granola
- Trail Mix
- Chips ( I get the variety box/bag)
- Cookies
- Mini donuts (my favorite)
- Consider what you’re doing for Lunch. Do you need cold cuts and bread to make sandwiches?
My Usual Disney World Grocery List:
- Water
- Crystal Light Fruit Punch Packets
- Mini powdered donuts
- Granola Bars
- Bagel
- Yogurt
- Cream Cheese
- Possibly chips
- Redbull
Disney World Grocery Delivery Hacks and Tips
Mugs with unlimited refills can be purchased from any Disney Resort; these really make sense if your room is near a filling station, so check first and remember that not everyone in your party needs one.
Make a list of what you will order beforehand so that you don’t feel overwhelmed when it comes to ordering.
Pay attention to delivery times and research those before your trip. Not everything can be the same day or the next day.

That is something we always try to do to save money. Bringing in our own food for breakfast, snacks, and maybe a couple of either lunches or dinners is a way to relax a little more at the resort and enjoy some down time.
